Digital Camcorder and housing question.?

Question

I been using the camera for a long time and its great, but I wanna try camcorders. Ive always taken pics of surfers and now I wanna try and make some novice documentaries. Im planning on going to Jamaica with my brother and his friends this winter, but I dont know what to get. Ive looked at alot, but I dont know what anything really means so its kinda hard haha. I also want a camcorder that fits with housing so I can enter the water. Any recommendations would be much help. Thanks

OK When looking at camcorders Iv found some things to look at is the CCD chip 3-chips is better than the single chip camcorders and the CMOS chip is not bad either but the bigger in size the better plus the more the camcorder lets you control it the better such as; white balance, shutter speed, and etc. Good brand is the Sony and Panasonic then probably Canon this includes reliability too.  I don't know how this will work with your housing equipment but they usually have housing accessory specifically for them.  Reminder the brand names I give are only in my opinion. PS something also to look at is the lens which you probably already know. Good Luck
