Digital Camera Not Uploading Pics?

just yesterday my best friend and i were hanging out taking pics and stuff. & when we tried to upload the pics to my computer it wouldn't work. i just uploaded some pics on wednesday and now all of a sudden it doesn't wanna work. this pop up keeps saying "the device is not plugged in" or something like that. now when i just tried it again it didn't pop up at all. it just made the noise that it makes when it DOES pop up! i tried going to 'my documents' but it said that they were no pictures on my camera, but there are pics on it ... PLEASE HELP!

  3. If you're uploading pics directly from your camera...with a usb cable connected to the computer...make sure the camera is turned on.
