Digital Camera Purchase?

I have my eye on the AgfaPhoto DV-5000G 5MP Digital Camera/Camcorder/MP3/Game Player

so. my question is if its a good camera (i dont need the BEST) and also does it take "decent" still -shots and film well in low indoor lighting. aswell as outdoor. please help =}

For $114, you can have a reasonably decent digicam. I suggest you do some more digging, Walmart do offer no less than 20 models which priced at around $100 level.

For 5MP and around $100 level: Kodak, Nikon, Sanyo, Samsung are some brands listed on Walmart site.

The main short fall for the device is: There is no optical zoom.

Optical Zoom is the one that really bring the image closer to you.

Digital Zoom only enlarge part of the image, but reduce the quality of the image while enlarging the image.

Beside, this device sound more like an All-in-one device rather than a dedicated machine, which means it can do a lot of things but nothing good.

So, spend the money on the camera and don't fall for the gimmick.

It does need an optical zoom because you won't be able to see anything on the LCD in bright sun, but it does sound like a fun machine.  You can check it out and return it in 30 days if you don't like what you find.

Looks like a really nice and versatile camera, camcorder, web camera, and game player .  It really does everything.  I will look for it in my Walmart store.

Have added another source link for you to read.  Don't think you will need the information in the second source link with lithium batteries, but it may be some good information to know and pass on.
