Digital Camera Recommendations?

Question

I need to get a new compact digital camera and I'm not sure which one to get.

I have previously has Samsungs and had them break on me so would like to avoid them.

I'll mainly use it for gigs and nights out where a lot of people move around and I would like it to stay in focus as much as possible.

I'm looking in £200 range, but obviously, the lower the better.

I was looking at the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T300 but have heard it doesn't take good pictures, so any info on that will also be greatly appreciated.

I have the new Lumix...Panasonic...and it has tons of features and for me it does the business and cost be just short of £200 it has a wide angle lens, and facial recognition, and is a real good point and shoot camera as well as having some interesting features for the more experienced photographer.

For taking pictures at night or poor light you can't get a better compact then the

Takes great Photos at ISO 800 where other compact DC you can only use ISO 200, Its as good as my Canon DSLR when it comes to low light performance

There are other models in the range as well... if you need more than 6 MP and other features like Face Detection.. But i have to say i've rarely had a focus issue with the F30 works great in the day and especially at night  (with and without Flash)... I can't always carry a DSLR all the time, The F30 is small and easily fits into a pocket and gives DSLR quality photos
