Digital Camera help ??

Question

I deleted all my photos off my camera on accident . How can I recover them ??? I had the memory card in .

you cant there gone for good. when deleting a cameras memory it just erases them a memory card is just so you can store more photos not really save them

There are recovery programs available. Do an internet search for undelete  or photo recovery programs. A couple such programs I found: http://www.cardrecovery.com/?rid=google&... or

I haven't used the above programs, so I can't vouch for the effectiveness or safety of said programs.

There are free, trial, and payware programs out there. Be sure to do a virus scan on any program you download.

Whatever you do, don't take new pictures until you've run the recovery program or the new pictures will overwrite the deleted pictures. Deleted pictures are not really deleted, they are renamed such that the camera or computer won't let you see the files anymore. File recovery programs look for the special file names (the first character of the file name is changed to a "?" ).

There are programs made by Lexar and San Disk that may find your images and restore them ... just don't use the same card until you can attempt a recovery.

For now buy a nice 1GB card for under $11 and use it until you can deal with your other card.
