Question:

Digital Camera lens?

I have two digital cameras, ones lens will come out about half way and the others won't move at all, but it seems like the camera is trying to push it out. They are both Olympus cameras, and one is still on its warranty.

  1. Check the batteries.  Sometimes old batteries can make a digital camera not want to work properly.  They need a lot of juice to get them going.

If it's not a battery problem, then they might have been damaged.  Was either or both of them dropped?  Taken to the pool or beach?  Had something spill on them?  Did someone borrow them?  Unfortunately, damage of that sort will not be covered under the warranty.

If you're certain the one still under warranty wasn't damaged in any way, then take it back where you bought it for warranty repair or replacement.  Take your receipt and batteries.  They might be able to get it working for you, or send it in for repair.

The one not in warranty would be too expensive to repair.
