Digital DVD download software...what's the best?

I want to download from camcorder to pc, what is the easiest software to use?

I hope you have not already purchased that DVD camcorder. If you have and cannot return it, you will ne to rip the DVD with something like HandBrake. You should also plan ahead - because you will have problem discs - so get ISOBuster while you are at it. This assumes you have a drawer laoding DVD drive on your computer. NEVER put a DVD mini dics in a slot loading drive. You will break the drive and ruin the disc.

If you have not purchased the DVD camcorder or you can return it, do that - and get a miniDV tape (best quality) or hard drive or higher-end flash memory  camcorder (OK video quality - not as good as miniDV tape).

If your computer has a firewire port, this is how the miniDV tape video is imported. It is simple and cheap to install a firewire port on most computers with an available PCI slot or PCMCIA slot (laptops).

If your computer has only a USB port, then the hard drive or flash memory camcorder will be easier for you. Just copy the video files over.
