Ok...I took the first digital test yesterday afternoon and it came back with "pregnant"....I was over the moon, but just to be sure I did another first thing this morning and it says "not

pregnant"...how can this be?

I have done other tests prior to this and I got faint pink lines but AFTER the 10 mins time...about 15 mins later!

I feel pregnant...I'm 3 days late, sore breats, bloated, tired...anyone have any similar experiences??

  1. If you got faint lines after the 10 minutes, that does not mean it is a positive.

If you are too confused with home pregnancy tests, go to the DR and get your blood drawn. They can tell you for SURE if you are pregnant or not.

  2. do a blood test to confrim

  3. i had the same thing happen to me before but unfortunately for me it turned out to be that i really wasn't pregnant, it is possible that u are pregnant or sorry to say u could be having a early miscarriage sorry to have to tell u that just like everyone else is telling you try going to see ur doctor and see what they say good luck and congrats if u are...

  4. i agree to go and have a blood tests. they are the most accurate. however, even on blood tests they can come back inconclusive because your hormone levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to register on the scale.

here is the scale they look at when doing blood tests.

    3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml

    4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml

    5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml

    6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml

    7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml

    9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml

    13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml

    17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml

    25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml

    Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml

    Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

also, if you read the directions clear through on the pg home tests, you are suppose to read the results 3-5 min after the test and then disregard it. after that time period the test is not acurate.

also if you are still unsure and have a blood test, talk to your doctor about getting an ultrasound. this was the only way they saw i was pregnant becuase the blood tests were inconclusive because my hormone levels were too low for some reason although i was already 6 weeks along.

  5. The first morning test would be the one with the strongest hormone levels.  I believe the home testers state not to read them after 10 mins due to false positives.

I would advise having a blood test done.

  6. I just had the same thing happen to me last week. I took the clear blue digital and it was said pregnant, took the second one and it said not pregnant. Took a blood test and it said negative. I would say get a blood test to be sure. Do you know what cd you are on? I was on cd35 when I got my bfp. cd36 when I got my bfn blood test. If you think you are pregnant then I hope you are. Good luck to you. I know how it feels to go over the moon, lol and then get a big dissappointment. It really sucks.

My test showed up within the 3 minutes and said pregnant. The not pregnant took about 10 minutest to show up.
