What TV's will not be compatible with this new digital transition. (how old?)

  1. umm. if your tv is a digital tv then your fine. if its not than you need the converter box or upgrade to a digital tv. cant make it simpler than that.

    TVs manufactured after 3/2007 are required to have digital tuners.

    TVs manufactured before 1998 do not have digital tuners.

    TVs manufactured between those dates could be either way. In 1998 only high end large TVs were made with digital tuners. In 2006 most cheap TVs did not include digital tuners.

    Just to be clear, not being compatible with "this new digital transition" just means that you would need to connect a cheap converter box between your TV antenna and your old analog only TV so you could watch digital over the air broadcasts.
