Digital TV and VCRs?

I got a new tv with a digital antenna to view all the basic broadcast channels. I'm trying to use an old vcr to record shows, but it only pics up the old analog channels that are not so clear. Does anyone know how I can fix it so it can record the digital channels? Thanks!

its time to chuck the old VCR and get a Tivo or DVD recorder.

Your old vcr has an analog tuner. You can purchase a converter box for it to get/record the digital channels. The FCC is giving away $40 off coupons and you can find the boxes at many department and electronic stores (Walmart being one example).
