Digital Tv's 2009.?

Question

In regards to the United States turning to digital Tv's in Feb. of next year, will any other countries be affected by this change? I live in Canda, so do we have to worry about purchasing new tv's or buying digital converters?

The UK is changing in 2009/10 too. Most people already have digital TVs or set top boxes. In some areas, analogue has already been turned off and they have not had any problems.

No, it only applies to U.S. consumers. I don't know if Canada has any legislation regarding that, but they are not bound by U.S. FCC regulations.
