  1. Not going to happen

  2. Impossible, sorry.

Optical is carried on a fibre optic cable.

Red and white RCA are always electrical connectors.

    You'd need a converter.

  3. Impossible with just a cable, but possible with an ADC:

can get them for £12.99 from maplin

  4. What you ask makes no sense.

You need a lot of processing power to go from digital audio to analog (that's what AV receivers are for)

If you want analog audio, simply use the analog audio outputs.

  5. Digital optical interconnects are toslink connectors only.  Digital audio is not transmitted in traditional 2 channel stereo. It transmits 2.1 to 7.1 channels over one digital  line.   You would need to convert the signal to analog some how to input into rca analog stereo (red and white).  You won’t find a single cable to do this feat for you as it requires processing power to decode the digital signal.  This is typically done by a your home theater receiver.

There is a rca style digital connection out there (typically orange input or output on devices).  It transmits the same signals as the optical.  some older DVD players and sources should still have that option if your amp does.  This requires a special digital cable to properly transmit the signal. You can’t cheep out with any old cable. They are slightly more affordable than optical cables though but have more potential for inference and may be limited in potential length.
