I've come to the conclusion that the fastest way I can write the book I've been laying the groundwork for over the past several months is to record myself dictating the first draft, transfer the audio file to my laptop and then go back and transcribe it. What is the best digital recording device I could use and/or software that would help with something like this? And is there an easier or better way to do something like this?

And if I may make a shameless plug for my (eventual) book, bookmark http://www.DieForJesus.com and keep checking back. :-)
