Digital camera $100-$ 200 range?

Look at the cannon A-590 it is $159 at walmart. It has easy to use mode but you can change settings if you want. It takes AA batteries so you won't get stuck in the wilderness with one of those rechargeables. It has a view finder and LCD screen Image, It also has image stabilization

If you buy one get AA rechargeable batteries and a charger.

Also a bigger memory card Like 1GB

On the downside it isn't the prettiest camera,and is a little bigger than most. Picture quality is very good.

It really depends on what kind of pictures you want to take: landscape, micro, art, or just family snapshots.

If you're looking for a simple, but decent, point-and-shoot in that price range, Canon has a PowerShot A590 that's pretty good. It has image stabilization and a nice LCD screen. But it doesn't have all the customizable options that some others have (like Aperture Priority, etc.)
