My friends and I filmed something on their camera. They let me take the SD card out of their camera, and take it home, so I can upload it to my computer. I put it in the SD slot reader thing, and I triple checked if I put in all the way/is in the right slot. But nothing happens. When I plug it in, with my SD card from MY camera, it works perfectly fine. For some reason, my HP computer won't recognize that memory card.

  1. You are using My Computer and see the memory card as a removable disk?

If you do, just open the file folder that has the video on it and then copy the image files to your computer.

Check all the file folders since JPEG image files are usually located in different file folders than video files.

  2. Most cameras run on Embedded Linux and the card format is something that Windows will not be able to read.

Use the USB from the camera to pull the pictures.
