Question:

Digital camera that takes photos that look "real".?

On many digital cameras I've found when you take a photo it just doesn't look the same as real life, it turns out blurry, dark, discoloured... etc. What is a good camera for someone like me who doesn't want anything fancy, just photos that do the subject justice? The less $$ the better but there is no point in buying one that is too cheap - that's what got me here in the first place! :P

I apologize if this is a silly question, I know nothing about cameras but always find myself wanting to capture sunsets, facial expressions, etc.

Thanks in advance!

  1. If you want to get pro results, you will need to use DSLR cameras. DSLR cameras give you control over lighting, zoom and a lot more. I highly recommend Canon XTi(400D). It offers the same pro features that you would find in high end Canon/Nikon cameras. Most photograpers will tell you that lenses are more important than Cameras.

The Rebel XTi is compatible with all Canon lenses in the EF lineup so you can mount high end lenses like L series on XTi.

You can find plenty of great deals on ebay:

  2. well, i get mad when my camera captures photos darker than they actually are, so i understand you. i have Panasonic lumix and its pretty good but sometimes when i take pictures inside they look darker. my cousin has a sony camera and it takes pictures like they actually are. i dont know the exact model of these cameras but i hope ive helped

  3. A good camera would be the high end compacts from the Canons. G9 and the S5 should be pretty sufficient and captures high quality, realistic pictures that most competitors simply can't do.
