I want to spend around £45 max, its for my holiday in a week. How many megapixels to have a decent quality picture?

Do you need software in order to transfer them to your computer or just a usb cable?

I was think of getting this one from ebay, does it look ok to you?

  1. I would suggest looking for a used professional SLR Digital Camera. The SLR cameras are so fun to shoot with...you can get different lenses for them...I suggest trying a cheap generic fisheye...It is fun :-)

You can buy an expensive professional SLR Digital Camera that sold for thousands a few years ago for a few hundred bucks today. They still have the same great quality they did when they were thousands of dollars...

My recommendation is a Canon...maybe a d30 or even a d10 is a great camera...also really affordable now...but the choices in accessories is great! Battery grip, flash, filters and lenses...so fun to play with....They are very easy to use...has different modes to help you with your shots...Portrait Mode for Close-ups of people....landscape mode for shooting scenery...action mode for action....It has a nightshot mode for amazing shots....it fires the flash but leaves your shutter open for a few mil-seconds longer to capture the surrounding light...they look beautiful...great for fireworks or Xmas lights...

It is a great way to get a great professional digital camera that takes amazing shots...they are better than the consumer digital cameras. They are also alot more fun to use with different lens choices.....

I purchased 2 cameras from http://photographersadvantage.com and have been very pleased with my new found hobby!

Good luck and happy shooting :-)

  2. To be honest that looks like a pretty crappy camera. It doesn't even seem to have a brand name.

As far as megapixels needed, anything over 2 or 3 will be fine.

Most digital cameras don't require software to transfer. Just plug the USB cable in and turn the camera on and Windows will pick it up.

For your price range I suggest looking for something from Kodak maybe.

  3. It's OK for a point and shoot in your price range, it does state that it's over 8MP in resolution, that's good. I would inquire about the warranty period and exclusions/limitations, and whether this is a new, in the box or a refurbished reject. Most of the time, new cameras include cables and software for downloading photos to your computer/printer. If you don't know, ask. It's buyer beware here on the web. Personally, I don't like buying from sellers who can't spell properly!

  4. if its ok to you just buy it........it is ok to me
