Digital home cinema system with sound but no picture?

Question

trying to connect a samsung dig home cin system to my tv. We have sound through the speakers but it is not giving us a picture, also we want to hear the tv through the speakers.

Man in the shop said it would find the channel as soon as it is connected but this has not happened, what do i have to do?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      What kind of video cable are you connecting from system to TV ? You can't hear sound from your system and TV at the same time.
