Question:

Digital recorders???????

im about to get the boss Br 1200cd digital recording studio, and im just wonder how to use it. do u need 2 supply ur own mic, and is there build in speakers? can you hear your self when you record? can u play back what u recorded?...... well thats all i have to ask for now. thank you verry much!

    its a great and outstanding guide on studio setup and recording.

    under one section they talk about MTRs (multi track recorders) which is what you are looking to get.

    The forms have info on whats best for the price ranges.

    If you dont need to be mobile, I would go with a PC and audio interface...its the best choice IMO.

    You need to buy a mic and use it with it, theres no on board mics and any on board mics suck anyways...

    For hearing you can use headphones but Studio monitors are suggested for mixing...

    I suggest either a Shure SM57 dynamic or MXL 990/991 condenser mic set.  These dont come with XLR mic cord most of the time so be sure to get one or two.

    Yes you can monitor the other tracks when recording a new one.
