Digital signals?

Question

I'm scanning the airwaves on an aor receiver up to 2ghz. I'm not finding much at the higher end. Is this because of digital signals, I thought I would hear noise or something on the headphones?

Digital signals are very sharp.  You can see them on a spectrum analyzer but you can't hear anything, even if you are tuned dead onto the signal
