Question:

Dilemma at Work? What should I do?

I work for my mom as a secretary, but since I have another job, I can't work for my mom full time. So she hired another secretary to fill in for the hours I can't be there. The new secretary is about my age, and we are getting pretty close and starting to eat lunch together, etc etc. Except, her schedule overlaps with mine from 11 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, so we're both working for my mom at the same time during those hours. That is when I found out she has been chatting on MySpace, and other chatting sites behind my mom's back. I am wondering if I should tell my mom, which would be betraying my part time co-worker, or if I should keep it secret and betray my mom. She sometimes gets the work done, but when we're working together, she starts to lag and I end up doing most of the work. What should I do?

  1. Tell your mum, blood is thicker.

  2. Tell your mom, in my opinion, or decide whether the difference between right and wrong is more or less important than your new friend (who, by the way, is s******g you if you have to make up her work). Your mom's trust and business are on the line.
