Question:

Dilemma over big scratch card win?

Fantastic news! I won £1 on a scratch card today but sadly this elation was short-lived. I've just realised that to collect the winnings I would need to drive 3 miles to the nearest shop in my husband's car that has a 4-litre engine so the fuel consumption may exceed my winnings. Also - another devastating blow is my realisation thet the scratch card cost me £1 to buy in the first place! Now I don't know what to do, I've lost my appetite and feel restless to the point that I may go mad! Do I collect my deserved winnings or let Camelot continue to laugh all the way to the bank while I suffer helplessly alone?

  1. or you could just save it until you need to go to the shop, they have a years worth of expiry on them.

  2. ok.. so you must go to some shops at some point.. you dont have to take it back to the same shop you purchased it from... you will not have won £1 but you will not have lost £1 if you collect back what you spent.  you can wait until you next go to the shops i dont think there is a time limit for collection of a £1 win.

good luck and happy spending (ps: dont spend it all at once) lol

  3. Next time you goto the shop swap it for a lucky dip and you could win a few million.

  4. just post it to me instead.

if you get a few more, send them my way too.

    luvs ya x

  5. take the card with you and next time your going by the shop get it changed no money won no money lost

  6. keep the card in your car/purse. next time you pass the shop pop in and swap in for another, you could win ££££. but because ive told you this i now want 30%.

  7. wow u call that a big scratch ticket win when it will cost you more in gas to claim it??? good lord u must be new to gambling lol

  8. You could keep it until the next time you're headed toward that shop. That's what my dad usually does with tickets that win low amounts either save them for his next trip or wait until he has a couple more winning tickets and cash them in all at once.
