Question:

Dime-sized fuzzy-looking black spider with two white ovalish dots?

There was two white dots, one on each section of its body. The front and back were the same size with two hairy front legs that were fatter than the others( the hairs on its front legs had a brownish tint although the legs themselves were black.) The spider also had massive black fangs.

I live in Tennessee, could someone tell me what kind of spider this is, and if it's poisonous? Thank you.

  1. It's not on this chart I found (first link), so I don't think it's poisonous.  Does it look like the one in the second link?

It's definitely not a black widow.  Those have a very distinctive shiny/fuzzless appearance.
