Dimi Papadatos realizes his dream at the Australian Open 2010

Dimi Papadatos will be appearing at the Australian Open that is scheduled from the 2nd of December and will continue till the 5th of this month.
According to latest reports, the $ 1,500,000 battle field will be a collection of some of the classiest assailants including the likes of Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy, Aaron Baddeley, John Senden, Michael Sim, Steven Bowditch and Peter
O'Malley, to compete against Papadatos.
Papadatos' entry was confirmed after the golfer played the entailed qualifying round held at the Long Reef this Monday. Papadatos played the second placing qualifying event which made Papadatos eligible to compete in the Australian
Open and follow his dream with confidence.
The Q round held a brawl of sixty golfers for a championship where Greg Norman stands as the hot favourite and Adam Scott is ready to defend the title.
According to Papadatos, competing in the Australian Open has been his dream for almost a few years now and obtaining an entry on such a prestigious event is a pretty good feeling. He regarded the scale of the current event as huge
and said that he hopes to display a good form on the fields.
However, the nineteen year old got close to missing the event since he hadn’t really decided till there were just a few days left for registration.
“The decision wasn’t until there were a few days left” Papadatos declared.
According to reports, the golfer planned to fly to Melbourne and had his flight booked for the nationalized journey. Though it is also reported that the nineteen year old had plans to visit the destination even if he failed to
qualify at the Q round.
The qualifying round was thus carried out to combat for two positions and Papadatos was warmly welcomed after he flew to the GC for registration.
With the promise of playing the best he could, the nineteen year old qualified for the round after carding an impressive 69. He collected a total of three under par that placed him at a one shot lead and hence he became eligible
to appear at the Australian Open by one stroke.
The open will be a collection of 156 golfers and will be attacking players with its heaving greens. Other than that, the GC will also bring hurdles in the form of heavy winds, making it a trying contest.
The tournament is a 4 round match prior to which the nineteen year old was required to play a practice round at The Lakes yesterday.
