Dimitar Berbatov admits taking notes of Sir Alex Ferguson’s managing techniques
Manchester United star striker Dimitar Berbatov has stated that he regularly makes notes of Ferguson’s managing techniques, in case that one day, he thinks of joining the managerial role. Berbatov is finally proving his money’s worth to Sir Alex Ferguson
and is paying dividends for the unparallel faith the Manchester United boss had in him when he paid a whopping 30.75 million pounds to sign the Bulgarian international from Tottenham Hotspurs.
Considered to be the best manager of his century, Sir Alex Ferguson took over at United in 1986 and has till date, guided the club to a plethora of successes. Manchester United is considered to be one of the biggest clubs on planet Earth and is the most
valuable one as well. In his tenure, Ferguson guided the club to 11 premier league titles, 5 FA Cups and two UEFA Champions league. This also included a treble in 1999, when he guided the club to become the only English team to reach that feat.
The Bulgarian always knew that he would benefit if he followed the wise words of his manager. With 7 goals for the 29-year-old, which includes a whooping hatrick against Liverpool, the player has established himself as a fan favourite. The player’s huge
price tag now seems worthy enough and the player was extremely delighted by the media attention.
"He is one of the most successful managers in the history of the game. I write things down about the way we train and how he treats people. It is like a school. You work with the best manager and play with the best players. I try to learn. I am at the biggest
club in the world. If I can learn anywhere it is here," claimed the 29-year-old while talking to MUTV. Berbatov stated that when the manager approached the Bulgarian at Tottenham, he couldn’t believe his ears. There’s more to Sir Alex Ferguson than just being
the gaffer. The Scotsman enjoys a multidimensional personality and is always thinking about the end goal, even when he is delivering his renowned hair-dryer treatment to his players.
The player stated that when he first met the manager, he was just star struck by his presence but the more he knew about him, the better it got. The Bulgarian stated that he likes joking around with his players but when things get serious, he gets tough.
"It is not that it makes you feel uncomfortable. He just wants you to be sure in yourself. "Every human being is different. You need different approaches and he goes to every player and speaks to them alone to motivate them," stated the 29-year-old striker.
The manager is expected to have a word with all his forwards before Sunday’s away game against Bolton. Apart from Berbatov’s hatrick, it would be unfair to ignore the services of Michael Owen, who scored a brace in his first start of the season against Scunthorpe
on Wednesday. Not only this, the inspiration and sheer presence of Wayne Rooney can never be ignored so Ferguson may have a job on his hand to decide the team for the premier league as well as the away fixture to Valencia. The manager accepted that it does
give him a headache and this striker problem has been there since the start of the season. That is the reason behind the manager loaning out Danny Welbeck and Mame Biram Diouf for a season long loan to Sunderland and Blackburn respectively.
