Dimitar Berbatov wants Manchester United to beat Newcastle
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov does not want the Red Devils to cave in to the atmosphere at the Sports Direct Arena, as they face off against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The Red Devils striker and Bulgarian international, Dimitar Berbatov has gone on to urge his teammates to not feel the pressure, as they head into the Sports Direct Arena to take on Newcastle United.
United are set to take on Newcastle, following a humiliating defeat at the hands of Blackburn and will be looking to try and make up for the loss in their last outing.
Despite United seemingly hitting a slump, Berbatov has actually managed to pick his form up, as he has scored six goals in the last three games that he played for the team.
However, the striker doesn’t want to keep producing individual results, as he wishes to see his team go on and pick up a maximum number of points against their upcoming opponents.
When talking about the upcoming match, the striker is quoted to have said: “Okay, it's a bit more passionate there, a bit louder than other places, but I don't think it will affect us much”
“We're professional players and we experience this every game. We go there as if it's any other game.”
All Instead of taking Newcastle lightly, Berbatov has gone ahead and admitted to the threat that the team possess. United went on to draw with the Magpies in November and this time around, they will be looking to pick up all three points.
Despite these plans made by the team, things aren’t going to be all that easy for United, as Berbatov himself has admitted to the depth h that Newcastle possess and the brilliant football that the team has been playing.
“I think Newcastle have a really good team and good players, I don't think anybody should be surprised by their position. If you're high in the table then you deserve to be there,” he explained.
It is now a wait to see just how United manage to play against their upcoming opponents and whether they are able to recover from their loss or not.
