Dimitri Yachvili leads France to an impressive victory over Ireland in Bordeaux – Rugby news
The flawless Dimitri Yachvili had a tremendous show with his boots to lead France to an impressive win over Ireland on August 13 in Stade Chaban Delmas Bordeaux Yachvili kicked five shots in the Ireland post get underway his side to a successful journey
towards Rugby World Cup 2011.
France battled past Ireland by 19-12 in its first Rugby World Cup warm-up match and Yachvili added 14 individual points in his team’s victory. The Irish side was soon in trouble in the match as Yachvili kicked a first three pointer just after three minutes
in the game.
Meanwhile, Ronan O’Gara of Ireland had also competed well to Yachvili but lack of team support resulted in bitter defeat for the visitors. O’Gara kicked four penalty kicks for his side and helped the rusty Irish team to reduce their 13-3 deficit to 19-12
in the end.
France had put a big impact over the Irish side and kept them under immense pressure from the very start of the game. The French side had not given any opportunity to their rivals to open their account unless O’Gara kicked a penalty shot just couple of minutes
before interval for Ireland.
The rusty Irish Yachvili kept on repeating the fouls on tackles and provided the hosts number of chances to take a lead over them. Every time they committed a foul Yachvili made them paying the price. He kicked four penalties during 3rd, 27th, 66th and 70th minute
of the match. He also converted a two pointer after Vincent Clerc landed scored the only try for France during the 18th minute of the game.
Meanwhile, the French side had poor display of discipline after the interval as they looked off the colour during the second part of the match. Repeated mistakes on their defence, French side provided a handsome chance for Ireland to bounce back into the
game. The only difference in the match was that of a try scored which was scored by France in 17th minute of the game by Vincent Clerc.
