  1. I dont know about that, but I love his show! I use to think he was kind of a nerd but he grew on me. What sort of food is  Detroit known for?

Omaha Ne has nothing very good, which is too bad. I wont be seeing Guy anytime soon either.

  2. He already visited The Fly Trap in Ferndale. He also went to a burger joint near U of M, Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. Truly regional food would be a Coney Island. Or someplace in Hamtramck with paczkis. I've submitted The Detroiter downtown for a great burger...still waiting to hear back on that one.

  3. Don's of Traverse City is a true 50s style diner with juke boxes at the tables, old 75 records on the walls, etc. The original is in Traverse City, MI, of course, but there's also one in Novi, just outside the 'D' on Grand River.

  4. Here's a list of all the places that have been on his show, but I see there are no places listed for Detroit yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diners,_Dri...

What I would do if I were you is go find the most blue collar industrial area, and drive around a little bit. Try out a couple of places that look kinda dive-ish, especially if they have limited hours and a diner style look.

  5. Fridays!! haha he's in that commercial and he seems to like it alot. haha

  6. Not really but I love that show it is awesome! sorry that was no help at all!

  7. The Telway on Michigan ave in Detroit.  Best sliders and truelly the absolute best coffee in the world.

    Several Arabic restuarants

Its hard to think of many other restaurants in that category but definately the Telway.  You can't go anywhere downtown without stopping there.  Friendly staff and ecclectic clientel.  Lowest prices ever.
