Ding Hero to take advantage of red box in Romforddogs.com Stayers
K. Hutton’s dashing hound, Ding Hero, is all set to make the best of the red box in Friday’s Romforddogs.com Stayers at Romford. Including a favourable draw, there are plenty of things in his favour.
There are no concerns over his current form. After facing a couple of unlucky defeats early in February, the white and black dog raised the standards, and won the race with ease last time.
After showing good early pace, he railed quite nicely. He established his dominance at the very first bend, and stayed ahead all the way through. Eventually, he took the first prize by a couple of lengths.
After a recent strike, the son of Crash is in good shape. A favourable draw further enhances his chances to a great deal. All he needs to thrive is to take an early lead. Among other contenders are:
Droopys English, Jazz Tilly, Young Duke Box, Adageo Brae, and Stress Impact. The 575 metres race will be begun at 22:40 GMT. A cash prize of 175 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Stress Impact’s purple patch appears to have come to a halt. The black dog did a lot of damage at Henlow in January, but failed to do anything special lately. On his previous venture, the son of Royal Impact completed the order of finish.
Droopys English looks the biggest threat to Ding Hero. Ahead of finishing second twice, the fawn dog sealed a comprehensive victory. After taking a handsome lead at the fifth bend, he showed great fire, and won the race by one and a quarter lengths.
On his previous two outings, the son of Blackstone Gene was quite unlucky. After missing the crown by a length’s distance in mid February, he could not add the winning touch, and ended up second by four and a quarter lengths last time.
Jazz Tilly has made a smooth transition to six bends. Therefore, she looks a little dangerous. An all-round pace should see Young Duke Box bustle up the opponents. Adageo Brae, the Coronation Cup finalist, boasts poor strike rate, and does not fall in our
short list.
