Ding Junhui happy with World Snooker for launching new snooker event in China
Chinese snooker fans will enjoy another major ranking event in the next season as the snooker governing body, World Snooker is launching the International Snooker Championship next season in China where top guns of the game will be together to battle for
the Championship title. The Chinese potter, Ding Junhui is very happy with the addition of another major ranking snooker event in China.
World Snooker Chairman, Barry Hearn is working really hard to make snooker one of the most watched games in the world. The snooker chief has played a key role in promoting the game around the globe with his radical reforms in the basic structure of the snooker
calendar. Besides, adding new events in a snooker season has increased the viewership of the game, which is appreciable.
The new Chinese tournament will endure equal ranking points as the UK Championship and the total prize money of the event is the biggest in the Asian region. The launch of the new snooker tournament will not only boost the Chinese economy but will also enhance
the game’s popularity across Asia. With this initiative, the Asian cuemen will definitely get a lot of confidence to perform well and play in the event.

International Championship will commence from October 28 to November 4 next snooker season with total prize money of £600,000, which is the biggest prize money in Asia. The winner of this major event will pocket £125,000. The addition of such a competitive
tournament is sure to promote snooker in Asia.
