  1. As far as I'm concerned the ABs will be the one all the way; just cause Deans is sleeping with the enemy doesn't change anything for me. Its a shame though to have lost Deans - a power house of talent, experiance and a well proven track record. I certainly don't blame him for going across the ditch as he certainly had to move on with his coaching career - he will make folks at home seriously ponder over some decisions made!

  2. Deans has my full support and seems to be on the right path with Oz. He has brought a very Crusaders like game plan to the Aussie tea mand they look a lot more of a international team for it. I look forward to watching every Aussie game over the next four years and look forward to them winnning most of them. However when they play NZ then I have to back the All Blacks but admire the Ayssie game plans

  3. very average aussie against a battered and bruised springbok side.slow springbok against a average Aussie side. The AllBlacks are gonna embarrass you

  4. Deans has done a good job, but I think a lot of credit must go to Jim Williams. He's transformed the Aussie pack from getting destroyed by England to competing brilliantly at the breakdown against the World Champions, not to mention words cannot describe the amount the scrum has improved. Future looking bright for Aussies.

Though from a selfish viewpoint, I wish Williams hadn't left Munster, I hope we won't miss him too badly.

And I would have to agree with the answer above though put it not quite as strongly as he put it, you should always support your own country though I understand why you'd want Deans to do well.

  5. I'm a cantabrian and no, I'm not behind Aussie. I don't care if they have Robbie Deans, the AB's are representing our country and it sucks that you won't support them.

  6. Canterbury attracts the biggest crowds to there AB games than any other ...a AB's team that has never been coached in full by Deans...so Im thinking Cantabs will be thinking your seriously deluded.

  7. If any Cantab is going to support Aussie because of Deans, they can all pack their bags and move to Australia for all I care

  8. is Canterbury playing the abs? are Canterbury coached by Robbie? then no i will as a kiwi from Canterbury be supporting the abs....but have an eye on how his coaching is changing the Ozzie's game.........i notice the gross kick is now quiet common in their game.......

  9. No first prize for guessing your nationality, you must be Aussie?

Take a bit more than a familiar face in the Aussie stands for a Cantab to too back Australia against NZ!

Especially when half the bloody team is from Canterbury.

Not the fastest tractor on the farm are you mate?

  10. This was a media beat up built by one loyal Deans supporter. I'm sure even Deans still supports the AB's in deep in his head. His own comment to the Wallabbies was he can't preach to them the history and pride in the wallaby jersey cause he doesn't have the passion for it. He got an oppotunity and hes gone for it. I'm no Deans fan  but good on him he would also have my support when and if he gets the AB'S job, Henry and Deans have a two year contract and we may benefit from Deans experiance then as he was found out abit in 2003. But Henry has a good track record and we as Kiwi's should support him.

  11. What about the other 15 players who played for canterbury? Don't they deserve your support as well?

  12. This question and so many of the answers sadly overlook the real spirit of the great game : "The game's the thing!".

I rejoice at good play by either side, altho my heart  may be 100% behind my own country's team.

There is a need for a return to better values, better sportsmanship.  Yesterday there was a disgracefull volume of barracking by Wallaby supporters (in Perth of all places) when the Boks had place kicks.

This is something on hears a lot less of in NZ and SA (even from Castle Corner!) AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL OF IN IRELAND!!

  13. Buddy Im a Kiwi living in Aussie and I think all of these peple saying p**s off to Aussie can kiss my ar-se too.  I'm a true, bloody proud Kiwi and because I live over here in Aussie doesnt make me any less.  Do I think we should've had Deans as a coach?? you better bloody believe it.  Will Aussie be alot harder than a lot of people are giving credit for?? you better believe it.  This isnt going to be as simple as people think it to be (just reading a few answers in here).  But will the A.B's win, h**l YES and I wouldn't say anything less.  I wish Aussie all the best but my country is my heart (in Rugby) and I wear that on my chest!!!!
