Dining out and the right to refuse service.?

If you had been a nusance in a restaurant in the past, can they refuse to serve you?

In a bar , maybe.

Does this happen in any city?

  1. If they decide they don't want to let you back in, they don't have to.  I have worked in places where we banned people forever.


  2. Yes I used to work at a restraunt and we would refuse people who had Dine-n-Dashed in the past.

  3. Yes they can refuse you. But it has to be the manager/owner that refuses you. Mine has done it in the past. One time it was a homeless guy who would walk out without paying. Another time it was people that constantly complained and were loud about it, and my boss threw them out.

    Also, I know if people swear loud, and are asked to stop, and they don't, my boss will too.

    You have to make sure the other patrons are comfortable. If they're not, then they're not going to come back.

    One time I was kicked out of a bar, on my 21st b-day, and now I'm almost 39, and I still won't go there!! I hold a grudge!!!

  4. Of course they can refuse you service if you had been a nuisance. If you're disrupting the workers and other customers, you can be kicked out and refused to be served.
