Dinky Messerschmitt 719 How to replace undercarriage pins.?

Question

I am replacing the undercarridge on my Dinky Bf 109.

I need to rivet the new pins though the wheel to the leg.

I exspected the pins to be hollow but they are not.

So how do I flattern out the rivet without damging the wheel or leg.?

Ofcourse I have a centre punch but I think that I may damage the wheel. Do you know how to do this or can you put me on to a free webb page to tell me how.?

Squeeze the pins with a pair of side cutters until they spread very very slightly.... then ease them into the oleo leg. with a vice and a suitable nut over the axle cap.... be extremely careful though!

Alternatively you could squeeze after you've inserted the axle but the resultant might look unsightly.
