Dinner Theatre Company?

Question

I am going into the musical theatre field, and rather than set my heart on broadway, i am looking into dinner theatres in bigger cities. Does anyone know of any dinner theatre companies that would give you a permanant position in a play for pay.

Traveling companies would work too.

This dinner theatre company has three theatres and from what I've seen, they hire some resident actors. The shows tour. It is a very professional dinner theatre and definetly worth checking out.

go to the UPTA auditions.  they are held in memphis in february.  you will be seen by hundreds of non-union dinner theater companies, touring companies, summer stock etc. and because you are seen by so many have a good chance of getting a job.  they have a list of the companies that tend to attend the auditions on their website so you can research them individually if you'd prefer.

does the city have to be big like new york? if not then there is a dinner theater in Indianapolis, Indiana it is called Beef&Boards i don't think this is what you are looking for but it might help. when you get to the site click on the words employment. there will be a letter read through it. if it fits the needs that you are looking for there is a button that you can click on to send in a resume
