    Out by Dulles?

Try their sister place, Sweetwater Tavern.

  2. Italian?

A Slice of Italy and Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria. Are pretty good.

For an entertaining fun dinner, if it's laid back ESPN zone.

It would depend on who your going with, and what type of food u're interested in.

Honesty the DC area offers so many choices for different kinds of get togethers that it is impossible not to find a good place. When I need to decide on a new place to go i usually look on line for reviews. This website is pretty reliable.

  3. hmmmm hard times in fredricksburg is pretty tasty and casual. But 1.2 is like a bar and 1/2 resturant

  4. That certainly covers a lot of ground!

If you like Indian food, check out Nirvana on K Street NW near 18th.  They're a block from the Farragut West station on the Orange and Blue Lines or the Farragut North station on the Red Line.  It's not terribly casual, but not at all formal.

In Georgetown, there's Harmony Cafe on M Street NW.  They're a basement-level pan-Asian place that can make just about any dish vegetarian.  I really love their food.  They're about a 15- to 20-minute walk from the Rosslyn station on the Blue and Orange line (across the Key Bridge).  Georgetown doesn't have a Metro station, but there are several buses that serve the area.

Also in Georgetown, across the street from Harmony, is Pizzeria Paradiso.  Service is really, really quick--they get you in and out.  This is the place to go if you're in a hurry.  But the food is decent.

If you like chili, there are several Hard Times Cafes in the area, including one near the Clarendon Metro (Orange Line) and one on King Street in Alexandria (not far from the Blue and Yellow lines).  They're very casual, with friendly service, and they have awesome veggie chili.

    Hope that helps!

  5. My favorite place for Chinese food is Queen Bee, on Clarendon Boulevard in Clarendon.  It's got killer food and v. affordable.

If you like ribs, Red, Hot, and Blue in Rosslyn is good, although RH&B is a local chain.

Terra Thai in Ballston has really good food, too.

This is more moderately priced, but I love Georgia Brown's in the District.  They have traditional southern food.

I have found the DC City Paper has good reviews so you might want to check out their recommendations.
