I have a date Saturday night and I would like your input on this. The young women that I'll be taking out, prefers American food. I would like to go somewhere causal, and I don't mind a little money, but nothing over $50. I heard that "The Diner" and Clyde's in galleria/chinatown were both good place to eat. Please feel free to add anyother suggestions? Thank you in advance.

  1. 1.) Agraria Restaurant

"One of Agraria’s selling points is the chef’s unique spin on contemporary American cuisine using the freshest products from family farmers throughout the country. And when you pair this quality of food with outstanding service and a rustic,    modern interior, you have a meal to be remembered."

    2.) Equinox Restaurant

"The restaurant, a short sprint from the White House at the end of Connecticut Avenue, is revered for its take on contemporary American cooking."

  2. I enjoy B Smiths at Union Station... it's very good & it's costly but it's within your budget.,

  3. $50 total or per person including drinks?

For total you could do Daily Grill in Dupont M & Connecticut or Georgetown Wisconsin and N.

Cafe Deluxe on Wisconsin near the Cathedral is reasonably priced and is American fare.

A little pricier but better than Clydes would be Old Ebbit on 14th.  It is a status place and fun to go to.  Great Oysters!

  4. Zola's near the Spy museum is very good and trendy. Clydes is very nice but I found the service to be inconsistent.
