Dino Buddy not responding to r/c

Question

I have a Dino Buddy bought in US (I live in UK) that stopped working after one day. The Dinosaur operates when you press the button on it's neck and the remote control light is on - but it doesn't walk or roar when you push the buttons. I've checked inside the r/c unit and there are no obvious loose connections. Any idea what's wrong?
