Looking to take my son to one as he is going through the dino faze...lol. Does the edmonton museum have real dino bones on display...like the whole skeletons?. Where near by can I go. Is the one in Drumheller good, worth the drive?

  1. You may find limited dinosaur exhibits in the Royal Alberta Museum, but your best bet would be the Royal Tyrell in Drumheller.

  2. I'm not sure about Dinosaur museums in Edmonton, but the one in Drumheller is very good. I drove for a day to go there. They have a lot of full dinosaurs on display. They even had someone digging bones, and you could watch them. Which I thought was kind of cool. And depending on the time of year, I know you can schedule digs to go out with some of the crew. Your son might be too young to do that. But I was very happy with the museum.

  3. The Tyrell in Drumheller is definately worth the drive.   It's an awesome place.  If you go when it's nice there are walking trails around it as well.

  4. The Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller is definitely worth the drive from Edmonton...heck, it is worth the drive all the way from Ontario. This is my all-time favourite place. Don't forget to drive into Drumheller and see the Dinosaur tower or drive to the Badland to see the hoodoos and the other amazing landscapes.
