  1. Well, for one, where are you going to find a dinosaur.

2 - maybe you are teaching dinosaurs to cook?

Why not dino shaped cookies, or try looking for dino shaped pasta that you can cook into a casserole.

  2. I don't know if either of these pages has anything COOKED on it, but they both have lots of suggestions for dinosaur themed snacks.

  3. Ah...cook a dinosaur?

    Make a dino-cake?

    cupcakes with dino "spikes"?

    Dinosaur egg omelet

  4. Brainstorm with your class what a dinosaur might eat. Write it down in a column. Then ask the children what we eat that is like those that you listed. Make a dinosaur food trail mix.

Maybe they say that dinosaurs eat meat you could direct them to think that meat comes from animals and fish-like fruit snacks or goldfish crackers.... Or dinosaurs eat leaves and plants, which is like sticks or pretzels, or Kix which is made from corn.....

And then you could eat like a dinosaur by scrunching your arms up close to your body! And make big munching sounds!

  5. Dinosaur Personal Pizzas

Using cookie cutter the kids can cut out Dino shaped crust and then use sauce and veggies and cheese to "decorate" their pizzas. bake at 400 degrees until crust is done.

    Dino Egg Hunt

Hide different types of  round Fruit on the playground and have the children find them examples are: Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Kiwi, Honeydew.....

After your explorers find the fruit you can make a fruit salad.

  6. This is from a unit I purchased from atozteacherstuff.com for just over US$5 - they have great units on many, many topics - and you d/load as a pdf file immediately. NO GOOD FOR KIDS WITH NUT ALLERGIES!
