I am just curious to what effects 2,400 mg of diphenhydramine would have on a individual if taken at the same time.

  1. Go to the hospital now and so they can give you some really...nice charcoal to drink. You either do that or there could be some real bad effects in the long term. It could destroy your liver and stomach lining.

  2. I don't know if there have been any reported deaths but you don't want this much in your system.  You may start to hallucinate.  You could hear voices, see things that aren't there, and think you are somewhere else.  If you fall asleep you might even start sleepwalking.  It becomes hard to focus on things.  Your pupils become very dilated and your heart rate speeds up.  You can lose your balance very easily.

I would get to a hospital though and get it out of your system.  It's dangerous and some people get addicted to it very easily because it can make you feel a sense of euphoria.

  3. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

Symptoms of a diphenhydramine overdose include extreme sleepiness, confusion, weakness, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, large pupils, dry mouth, flushing, fever, shaking, insomnia, hallucinations, and possibly seizures

But since its just an antihistamine, tolerance should be high.
