DirecTV. Can West Coasters have East Coast feed?

My friend realized that she has ABC's East Coast feed on her guide but everyone is telling her that all she will have is a fuzzy or black screen. She wanted to watch Lost at 7 tonight since they have changed their time slot to 10. Anyone know anything?

She can switch to the channel anytime to check what she gets.  I don't know why some of those channels from the east coast show up on the list of "channels you get" but are blocked. I guess it means you can pay extra and get them.  She would be better off with a DVR.
