DirecTV pricing question?

Question

I was just wondering...how much would it cost me to add an extra receiver to my DirecTV service? An extra receiver with separate programming (meaning i can watch something different if someone is using my other receivers). We have 2 receivers so far, one for the living room and one for a bedroom...i want to add a third one to another bedroom. How much more monthly would that cost? And how much would that normally cost for installation?

The price right now for a standard receiver is $69 plus around $80 for installation in most cases. HD and dvr receivers cost $99 and the installation varies from $0 to $99. HD/DVR are $199 and the installation varies from $0 to $99. You will have to pay for the receiver regardless of how long you have had DTV. Also if you add a receiver there is an additional 18 month commitment for standard receivers and 24 month commitment for HD or DVR even if you have been a customer for many years. Also the upfront price for the receiver is a lease fee. The monthly fee is $4.99 for each additional receiver and there is also a DVR fee per month of $5.99 and an HD fee of $9.99 per month if you go with one of those. Hope this info helps.

Janelle sounds about right..I was with Directv Customer Support...and all that info sounds correct and they've changed the commitments
