Direct Tv Reciever Box Broken?

Question

Well, I have been using direct tv for about 3 years now. And all of a sudden the reciever box dies on me, and no matter what it won't turn on. It just broke, so how do i get a replacement for it?

Would it be free? Cause I got the box free with my initial sign-up.

Should I just call DirectTv Customer Service and ask for a free box, to replace the shoddy one? Anyone know the number ?

umm call their customer service number and explain the issue a similar thing happened to us and they replaced it for free, sorry i don't have the number on me though...
