Direct deposit or money transfer to a friend's account?

I'm trying to deposit some money into my friend's bank account

can I do that with an ATM machine or do I need to go to the bank and tell them in person?

  1. i would go to the bank and do it unless you have the person's ATM card and pin.. then you can deposit the money in that way..
