  1. This can vary. What has happened with me is if I cancel direct deposit then I get a paper check for 1-2 pay periods before the next one takes effect. However, this close to your paydate, it may be too late to cancel it (or for it to NOT go by direct deposit this time). You'll have to talk to HR to be certain, but I suspect you're a little short on the time factor.  Many times payroll is processed days in advance of payday so things may already be setup for direct depositing into the account which was on record.

You can still cancel it tomorrow. Not sure it'll stop the deposit on Wed. I suspect not.

  2. Chances are you won't be b able to get it changed for tomorrows check.  The company I work for sends the direct deposit information two days before we actually get paid.  And the two days before that the payroll people are dealing with getting all the time into the system. (we have over 3500 regular employees and 1500 summer employees).

Depending on the size of your company they probably have already sent the direct deposit information to the bank to process.  Even if the haven't, they will need to do it today and won't be changing any bank information today.

  3. Depends on when your timecard gets processed.

Sorry - no single answer for you . . .

  4. most likely (of course it depends on your comp.) it would take at the very least one pay period for your changes to take place, so being that you get paid wed. i'd say you'll be getting direct deposit, but again you might want to talk to your HR person or supe to get a more accurate answer.

  5. It depends on how quickly HR can process the form.  It'll probably go into your account this time and the next pay period they will probably cut you a check.  It generally takes a few days for these types of forms to be processed.
