Question:

Direct scheduled flights between London and Minorca?

I guess most people flying from London to Minorca would transfer through Barcelona, or take a special charter flight. But are there any regular direct flights between the U.K. and that island?

  1. There are plenty of flights between Menorca and London.  Scheduled services you are looking at BA (from Gatwick currently six times a week), Easyjet to Gatwick (13th July - 14th Sept) and Monarch to Luton (four times a week in summer twice a week in winter).  Charter wise most of the companies now do a lot of flight only so carriers like Thomas Cook, Thomson's, First Choice and My Travel have regular services to the island.  Menorca also has services all year from the UK (unlike us unlucky lot here in Ibiza).

If you are looking for a flight you can either book on-line or if you can't be bothered with the searching then get a travel agent to do it for you (not always more expensive as they get agent rates).  There is a travel agency in Mahon (Menorca) airport that may be able to help email foreignoffice.mah@foreign-office.com

  2. There is a " normal " flight from British Airways to Mahon which operates daily exept saturday.

But I think, a charter flight with Monarch Air or Easyjet is normally less expensive.

    Have a nice day
