Direct tv and internet question please help?

is there an internet company that can be connected to a direct tv box instead of a phone line..... like for example cable/internet ......

This depends on which Directv receiver you have.  Some of the DVRs from Directv are capable of being connected to the internet through the ethernet port on the back.  This is how they are providing their ON-Demand service beta.  So, basically, it depends on your receiver/DVR.
