Direct tv av2 wont work?

okay so i hooked my dvd player and ps2 up too the direct tv box and i programmed the remote to control the dvd player but i still cant get it to actually switch over to the channel to watch the movie, it just stays on direct tv channels

The DVD output is AV only

If your DirecTv has INPUT jacks, hook to these and TURN THEM ON.  (with the DirecTv remote) I think you have OUTPUT jacks

If they are OUTPUT jacks, then you will need to hook the PS2 directly to the av INPUT jacks of the tv set (assuming you have them). (and use the ch3/4 output of the DirecTv box to watch satellite)

Now use your TV remote to switch from a/v (for dvd's) to channel 3/4 (for satellite)

If your tv and your DirecTv box both have no a/v input jacks,vou may need to get an rf modulator to hook up the PS2.
