What they are talking about is also commonly known as a gaming adapter or wireless ethernet bridge.  Many people used these to connect the original xbox to their networks wirelessly.  Basically, you configure the adapter to your wireless network first then connect it to the hddvr and it will pass an address to the hddvr and fool it into believing it is connected to an ethernet connection.  You can get one at Frys or Best Buy for about $50.00.
