DirectX 9.0 question...

Hi. I have a game that i want to play. The system requirement is directX9.0...but i have directX10. so when ever i launch the game...it has an erro. do you think its because of that?? if so...how do i change it back to directX 9.0?? I have VISTA btw. my friend has vista too and the game works on his computer

check the games website for a vista compatibility patch or just any patch for that matter. you shouldn't have to downgrade you Direct X plus i don't think you can

No. Unless the error specifies Direct X as the issue, it's highly unlikely that the error is because of this. The game says it requires DX 9, meaning 9 or better. Vista uses DX 10 which is compatible with all DX 9 games. Try reinstalling the whole game.
